Jasmine and Sydney have had some difficulty adjusting to our move to Chandler, they are starting to come around slowly but surely! Jasmine has been diagnosed with Failure to Thrive and has been placed in Feeding Therapy once a week.

We went on our first camping trip with Grandpa and Grandma McCoy near Durango, CO, we had a great time!

We have been spending a lot of time with our cousins, Kiri, Mara, and Anna, as Bryan and Jason are working on a project called Automotive Xprize to build a car that can get 100 mpg (www.desertfuel.org).

At Kidsfare at the Cardinals Stadium, Mara is being swallowed by a Care Bear, she is holding Jasmine, and Kiri is holding Sydney. The girls were so excited to see the Care Bears.

Here are the cousins outside the Cardinals Stadium in front of the "Big E."
Nana and Nanu came back for a visit while Nanu worked on a Habitat for Humanity Build building a house with a group of people in 4 Days!! Can you tell the girls missed their Nana and Nanu?

As for stats on the girls, they are not supposed to see the doctor for a checkup until they are 2 years old. However, Jasmine did have a weight check (she is only 19 lbs) with the gastrointestinal specialist since she is finally on whole milk and she is growing much slower than the doctors like, therefore, we are giving her on pediasure to increase her caloric intake, which she is not very excited about.

13 Months Old

Jasmine: March 1, 2007
Sydney: March 1, 2007

Jasmine and Sydney are now 13 Months Old, it is so hard to believe! Both girls are starting to use sign language more and more (of the signs we know :-)) to communicate with us each day. They are busy, busy, running from one plaything to the next and becoming quite the chatter boxes! Sydney even said elephant when we went to the zoo on the 28th of February. We are amazed with how much they are learning and how quickly, this is definitely a fun age.

Unfortunately this year has also brought with it much illness for Jasmine and Sydney. Both of them caught rotovirus, landing Jasmine in the ER and hospital for a couple of days for dehydration and potential infection. Sydney also had a very hard time with the illness, however, we were more experienced from Jasmine's hospitalization and were able to keep Sydney out of the hospital.

The girls went on their first airplane ride to see my sister in Oak Harbor, Washington, and we had a great time breaking her house in, as she is due with a baby boy on March 19th! After getting back from Washington state, the girls caught another illness, which may have been the flu, but very similar to rotovirus (for those who don't know, it is a nasty illness causing persistant vomiting and diarrhea, our girls could not keep anything down, including water).

Here are their 12 month growth stats (and they haven't changed to this day, because the girls have been so sick): Jasmine weighed 17 lbs 4 oz (less than 5th percentile), her height was 28.3 inches (25th-50th percentile), and her head circ. was 17.5 inches (25th-50th percentile). Sydney weighed 18 lbs 2 oz (5th-10th percentile), her height was 29.3 inches (50th-75th percentile), and her head circ. was 17.5 inches (25th-50th percentile).
